Women's Outdoors Middy Shirt
Take on the forest, desert, or mountain roads with this fantastic reproduction top! This is a perfect 1:1 reproduction of a circa 1920 women's outdoor shirt styled as a middy blouse in olive green. We have almost perfectly replicated the original fabric, design, buttons and cut. As such, please be aware that this pattern was not adjusted to modern body shapes. This shirt will look best if worn with period-correct foundational garments and with proper posture. This shirt is appropriate for women's outdoor attire from 1918-1932. These will also work exceptionally well as uniform pieces for early Girl Scout and Girl Guides impressions.
A note about fit:
Please compare the listed sizing chart, and bear in mind that you will need some room for comfortable movement. This pattern came out quite small when it was drafted off the original garment, so pay attention to the size chart, not the size names. The 2XL is probably closer to a modern large size. This is a completely period-correct, exact reproduction, so proper foundation garments will make all the difference on fit and shape. Unfortunately, the original blouse was made with the 1920s silhouette in mind, so this reproduction will fit best on tall, thin women with a smaller bust. The small and medium sizes are ideal for girls.
