We make CUSTOM Cloth-Covered Buttons for YOUR Historical Projects!

We can make quality cloth-covered buttons with YOUR fabric to match any project you're working on. Historically, cloth-covered buttons were the most common type of button used on civilian clothing. Of course, these were made from fabric stretched over a wooden mold and stitched in place. Traditional cloth-covered buttons are beautiful, but are time consuming and take some skill to make. For an easy, affordable, and durable version, try our industrial-pressed custom buttons! Our two-part molds are die-pressed into place along with your fabric to match any garment. They are guaranteed not to come apart! PLEASE NOTE!! WE HAVE MADE CHANGES TO OUR SHIPPING RATES!!

Easy! Just use the chart above to determine how many of each type of buttons you need. You may mix coverings on ONE size of button to meet the price breaks, but each size is a different price category. For example, 3 red small, 2 blue small, and 4 yellow small makes 9 small buttons. However, 3 red small, 2 blue medium, and 4 yellow large is three seperate orders.

Figure up the total number of each size of button you need and multiply that by the price per size/quantity in the chart above.

Include one 3" by 12" swatch PER DOZEN BUTTONS of the fabric you want your buttons covered with. If you are ordering the large size buttons, please make the swatch 12" x 20". (Actually, the swatch can be just about any scrap that has at least the afore-mentioned square inches, not necessarily square.) If you are including multiple styles of fabric, be sure to make note of which fabrics are for which buttons and what quantity. A NOTE ABOUT FABRIC: Heavy, natural fabrics, such as woolens and linens make the best buttons. If your fabric is very fine or loosely woven, please include an equal amount of cotton muslin to use as a lining fabric. Fine synthetic fabrics, such as a poyester sheer may not be usable, as they simply won't work in our machinery. Likewise, some extremely heavy fabrics, such as 21-oz canvas and blanket-weight wool are too bulky for the press. If you have any questions about the suitability of your fabric, please contact us before sending.

Be sure to make note of specifics, such as a certain part of the fabric's design in the middle of the button, etc.

PLEASE NOTE! We will now be using USPS Priority Flat-Rate mailers for all button orders. Priority mail comes with tracking and insurance to guarantee that your order will arrive. We've had a few problems with First Class shipping lately, so that is why we've made this change. Also, if you do not include a return shipping address or a phone number for contact, we will not ship your buttons until you contact us about your order. Due to the higher volume of button orders that we are now receiving, please allow UP TO 8 weeks for your button order to be completed. (Most orders are completed within a few weeks, but high volumes and our event schedule can increase wait times.) Please plan accordingly. We do not offer any rush services on our buttons out of fairness to all customers, however, if you call or e-mail us, we can give you an accurate estimate as to our current wait time.

Lastly, put your list of buttons, additional instructions, CONTACT INFORMATION, fabric swatches, a flat $6.45 Priority shipping fee (No matter how many buttons), and a check or money order for the total amount including shipping into an envelope and mail it to:
