A replica of an original 1775 Hessian Silver Thaler Piece. During the American Revolutionary War, many Hessian soldiers were brought to America by the British to serve as mercenaries. They would have brought with them their culture and their coin! This coin is die-struck in solid copper, then silver plated for an affordable authentic appearance.
